Mission Partners

Dave Fowler, AEFS mission partner at Sunshine Coast university

David Fowler

David Fowler and his wife Anna work with AFES (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students) on the Sippy Downs campus of the University of the Sunshine Coast. USC was one of the last of the big universities in Australia to have full-time AFES worker assigned.

The work of AFES is to engage with university students at a critical point in their lives, to introduce them to Jesus. This is done through Bible studies, Bible talks, conferences, prayer meetings, camps and outreach events.

Robert and Loralie Handasyde, together with their children Emily and Michael, serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators and JAARS in Papua New Guinea, supporting the work of Bible translation in communities in the Ukarumpa region. Robert is a qualified helicopter pilot and instructor and uses his flying skills to support the work there by flying translators, equipment, supplies and medical aid.

Bangladesh Hope Church

Bangladesh Hope Church (BHC) is a fellowship of believers in Bangladesh who share the Good News of Jesus, make disciples, and serve communities across Bangladesh. Through evangelism, training, and compassion ministries, the team at BHC works to see lives changed, churches planted, and hope restored among the people of Bangladesh. BHC exists to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to all people; disciple believers to grow strong in faith and character; plant healthy, self-reliant and multiplying local churches; train leaders to serve with humility and vision; care for children, women, and the poor through practical love; and respond to the physical and spiritual needs of our communities.

Mustard Seed Orphanage

The Mustard Seed Youth Development Centre in Myanmar provides a safe and caring environment; providing food, housing, access to education, medical care, and spiritual nourishment for hundreds of orphans. Run by a board of volunteers, Mustard Seed Orphanage is a ministry of love and dedication to help those who have been been left destitute in life.  Children who come into the orphanage with serious illnesses such as tuberculosis are placed into a separate facility while they are being treated and are moved into the main orphanage once medically fit.
